Exquisite Lavender Lace, Silk & Pearl Beaded Evening Ensemble, with Matching Handmade Handbag
All creations were originally created for the owner by Margi Kent, c. 1992, in Los Angeles.
A breathtaking lavender lace and silk satin ensemble, lavishly encrusted with gorgeous hand-sewn floral beadwork and pearl beads in fleur-de-lis designs. The beautifully detailed bustle-style top features elegant elbow-length sleeves, richly embellished with matching hand-sewn beading. The bustle top is worn over a tiered lavender silk chiffon skirt, combining flowing silk chiffon with patterned lace to create the appearance of a graceful full-length gown. The final chiffon tier can be added for a full-length silhouette or removed for a sophisticated mid-length look. Additional interchangeable pieces include a short lavender silk crepe skirt, silk satin camisole, and delicate lace “V” insert, offering numerous ways to create distinctive looks. The ensemble is completed by a stunning lavender silk crepe jacket, beautifully shaped to button at the waist with pearl-beaded closures and exquisite appliqué designs. A lavender lace and pearl-beaded stand-up collar and coordinating beaded cuffs add further elegance. A matching scalloped, handmade vintage-style handbag completes this extraordinary collection, lavishly decorated with hand-sewn lavender beadwork in varied styles and sizes, centered by a delicate fleur-de-lis design and finished with a graceful chain shoulder strap.
