Breathtaking Bright-Red Lace & Chiffon Evening Gown, With Sequins & Ensemble
Originally created for the owner by Margi Kent in Los Angeles; c. 1999.
A breathtaking bright-red lace and chiffon evening gown featuring a sparkling red sequin underlay that creates a magical “twinkling stars” effect beneath the lace. The gathered back forms an elegant mini-train, accented by a separate inner tier of hand-sewn, swirling lace designs for a truly distinctive and sophisticated look. This complete evening-wear ensemble includes a matching red beaded lace cape with velvet scalloped edges and delicate lace embellishments, plus a large red chiffon scarf, finished with beautiful intricate appliqués along the borders. Of special significance, this beautiful evening gown was worn by the owner at Russia’s prestigious “White Night Ball,” held at the magnificent Summer Palace of Catherine the Great near St. Petersburg, Russia. This remarkable provenance adds a truly extraordinary sense of history and occasion to an already exceptional gown, connecting it to a memorable and elegant evening at one of Russia’s most celebrated historic settings.
